The role of a school board member is to connect the community with the school district and represent the values and standards desired of the community.
We MUST RE-IMAGINE education for our students to be successful. The traditional way of educating our students is no longer enough.
But policy doesn’t happen in a vacuum. That’s why community engagement and transparency are pillars of my leadership. You shouldn’t need a decoder ring and three board meetings to figure out what’s happening in your child’s school. Parents should have a seat at the table—not just a folding chair in the back. When I talk about transparency, I’m not just talking about livestreaming meetings or sending newsletters—I’m talking about listening with humility, responding with clarity, and making decisions in daylight, not behind closed doors. And let’s be honest—some of y’all will definitely tell me when I’m wrong. And you know what? Good! That’s what public service should be. I don’t want to be surrounded by yes-people. I want to be surrounded by you—people who care, who speak up, and who hold me accountable. This campaign isn’t about me—it’s about the vision we all share: a district where every child walks into a school that feels like a safe, welcoming place to dream and to grow. It’s about making sure our teachers are supported—not just with nice words during Teacher Appreciation Week, but with real support: professional development, fair pay, and the respect they deserve. It’s about making sure the bus shows up, the heat works, and the library is open. It’s about investing in mental health, literacy, STEM, the arts, and in our most important resource: our kids.

Attacks on public education funding are occurring at the state and federal levels with the reduction of Title funding and the diversion of state funds to charter and vouchers.
Public districts depend on levies to fund public education, which is deemed unconstitutional and unfair. School board members must educate and advocate with our voters on proper school funding.
Equity also means fairness in funding—and I’m not afraid to say it: schools deserve budgets that match the magnitude of what they’re expected to do. They’re not just teaching multiplication and phonics—they’re feeding kids, counseling them, supporting families, and holding entire communities together. We need fiscally responsible funding that isn’t just throwing dollars at problems, but investing wisely in people, programs, and outcomes that work. Because it’s not just how much we spend—it’s how well we spend it.

Every school within CPS deserves to have equitable funding to ensure a high quality education regardless of their zip code or specialty.
Equity means making sure the ZIP code a child is born into doesn’t determine the quality of education they receive. It means we stop playing musical chairs with school resources—and start making sure every seat at the table has what it needs to succeed. That means standards without standardization. That means supporting both college-bound students and those who are career-ready. That means art, music, science labs, AP classes, special education support—and not just in certain schools, but across the board. Because if one school is struggling, then we are struggling. Our district is only as strong as the school that’s been most overlooked.
Priorities for Cincinnati Public Schools
I believe in the power of public education to transform lives—and I refuse to stand by while systemic attacks from the state and federal levels threaten the future of our children and communities.
Public education is under siege, and Cincinnati Public School (CPS) board is feeling the weight of these challenges. I am running to protect and strengthen our schools, uplift our students and educators, and ensure that CPS remains a beacon of excellence, equity, and opportunity.
Amazing things are happening every day in Cincinnati Public Schools. Our students are achieving, our educators are innovating, and our schools are striving for excellence despite limited resources. I am committed to amplifying these stories and building broader support for public education.

Advocating for Equity and Resources
I will continue to fight for fair funding and equitable access to resources so that every CPS student—regardless of zip code—can thrive academically and socially.
1
Elevating Academic Excellence
I will work to strengthen the quality of education by supporting innovative teaching practices, expanding access to high-quality curriculum, and investing in professional development for educators.
2
Building Stronger Community Partnerships
I’m committed to increasing transparency, communication, and collaboration to ensure our district reflects the needs and voices of those it serves.
